Henry "Fritz" Schaefer III (born June 8, 1944) is a computational and theoretical chemist.〔"Leading the Computational Chemistry Field", Scientific Computing World, Aug/Sept 2006, pg 9-11.〕 He is one of the most highly cited scientists in the world, with a Thomson Reuters H-Index of 112. 〔Schaefer is one of the most highly-cited scientists in the world for the past four decades. See Eugene Garfield, Current Contents, Number 41, October 12, 1981.〕 He is the Graham Perdue Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for Computational Chemistry at the University of Georgia. Schaefer is a prominent proponent of intelligent design. He has described himself as sympathetic to teleological arguments, but primarily a "proponent of Jesus."〔(Public lecture ) at (New Saint Andrews College ) on April 15, 2010.〕 He is a Fellow of twelve learned societies, including the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, American Physical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society, and the Chemical Research Society of India. ==Biography==
